Hoboken, N.J. – Deugen Development, LLC (Deugen) based in Hoboken, N.J., has welcomed four new team members to the full-service commercial real estate development and construction firm. The company’s latest staff additions include Nishu Patel (Director of Construction), Michael Goras (Director of Estimating/Purchasing), Steve Glavan (Project Manager), and Marco Fiorenza (Assistant Project Manager).

Each of Deugen’s newest team members possesses in-depth commercial real estate, development and construction expertise cultivated in various roles prior to joining the firm:

  • Patel, as director of construction, is responsible for spearheading and supervising all construction-related activities across Deugen’s wide range of planned and active projects and jobsites. The Edison, N.J. resident also oversees Deugen’s quality controls and schedule of work, vendor/subcontractor and client relationships and service excellence. A 20-year construction-management veteran with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Nirma Institute of Technology/India) and a master’s degree in construction management (Stevens Institute of Technology), Patel possesses expertise in integrated engineering solutions and management designed to streamline processes in order to maximize efficiencies.
  • Goras joins Deugen to direct the company’s estimating and purchasing departments. Prior to his current role, he held various construction management positions with Meridia-Capodagli Property as well as March Associates Construction. A graduate of Liberty University in Virginia with a degree in business administration, the Passaic Park, N.J. resident has overseen the estimating and purchasing activities on behalf of dozens of large-scale commercial real estate projects throughout the course of his career ranging from $10M to $120M in total construction costs.
  • Glavan joins Deugen’s talented project management team where he is responsible for providing comprehensive full-lifecycle management services, from inception and pre-construction to project closeout. Prior to joining Deugen, the Westwood, N.J. resident was responsible for construction management of several multifamily buildings, NY/NJ Port Authority projects and a wide range of community facilities. Glavan is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Fiorenza, an experienced carpenter by trade and project superintendent, got his start in the construction industry while building custom houses throughout North Jersey at the age of 16. Years later as a student at Ramapo College of New Jersey, the Forked River, N.J. resident pursued a degree in business administration with a concentration in management. During this time, he also worked in commercial construction that specialized in high-end country club renovations throughout the Greater Tri-State Area. Subscribing to a hands-on project management approach, Fiorenza is highly regarded for his ability to formulate field-based solutions.
