Livingston, NJ / Philadelphia, PA – Once again proving its multifamily investment sales dominance across New Jersey and the Greater Philadelphia MSA, Gebroe-Hammer Associates has captured five Best of 2022 Awards from Mid Atlantic Real Estate Journal (MAREJ). The highly regarded regional publication, which focuses on all things real estate throughout New Jersey, Philadelphia and Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Washington DC, ranked three of the firm’s market specialists in its Top-10 Individual Broker Sales grouping, and named Gebroe-Hammer Associates in the Largest Multifamily Sale category and as a Best Place to Work.

Each year, the publication’s leadership team seeks nominations across a wide range of commercial real estate categories, from sales, leasing and related professional-service providers to architecture, design and development. Honorees are chosen based on project merit, aggregate values and/or measurable results.

In MAREJ’s March issue, Gebroe-Hammer was named for the following:

  • Top Individual Broker Sales: Executive Managing Director Joseph Brecher retained the #1 spot atop the leader board and was joined by Senior Vice President Eli Rosen (#5) and Vice President Joseph Gehler (#7). Brecher, Rosen and Gehler are core members and consistent top producers of the firm’s Greater South Jersey / Philadelphia MSA market team.
  • Largest Multifamily Sale – Individual Broker: Executive Vice President David Jarvis orchestrated a classic one-for-one 1031 Exchange involving two properties – Northwood Estates in North Brunswick and Beech Spring Village in Summit – involving a total of 306 units sold for $78M.
  • Best Place to Work: In 2022 – a year that saw the Fed raise interest rates a historic seven times with rippling effects across all CRE companies that included layoffs and cost cutting – Gebroe-Hammer once again demonstrated agility in preserving its own most-precious asset: its talented brokerage and transaction-support teams. As has been the case every year since its founding in 1975, the Gebroe-Hammer team proved their essential role in the company’s enduring success that yielded $1.47+B in multifamily-focused firm sales spanning 84 deals encompassing 7,149 units in 2022.

Since 1975, Gebroe-Hammer’s brokerage activities have concentrated on suburban and urban high-rise and garden-apartment properties. While initially focusing on New Jersey, the firm has evolved during the past 48 years to also dominate the northeastern Pennsylvania and New York State submarkets as well as represent client interests nationally. Gebroe-Hammer also markets mixed-use and free-standing office and retail properties. Widely recognized for its consistent sales performance, the firm is consistently named a CoStar Power Broker for almost 20 years and has been named a national Multifamily Influencer for four of the past five years.
