Parsippany, NJ [May 21, 2025] – Resource Realty of Northern New Jersey (RRNNJ) Founder and Principal Tom Consiglio has been named a 2025 Icon in Business in New Jersey. This honor coincides with RRNNJ’s 35th anniversary year, celebrating the Bergen County resident’s visionary leadership and enduring impact on the commercial real estate industry.
Consiglio’s business achievements are synonymous with the growth and prosperity of RRNNJ. Since founding the firm in 1990, he has transformed it from a local startup into a regional powerhouse with a national presence, built on a foundation of long-term relationships and unparalleled market expertise.
“This recognition is a powerful testament to the vision Tom instilled in RRNNJ from day one,” said Principal Scott Peck, who joined the firm at its inception. “His unwavering commitment has driven our success while setting the standard for how commercial real estate should be done.”
Consiglio’s entrepreneurial spirit was evident from the outset, launching RRNNJ during a challenging economic climate as part of a groundbreaking consortium of independently owned firms. His commitment to integrity and collaboration has been the cornerstone of RRNNJ’s longevity, navigating the firm through multiple economic downturns and a global pandemic while maintaining its core values.
“Tom has always prioritized a core principle that has charted RRNNJ’s growth: long-term partnerships built on deep market expertise,” said Principal Brian Wilson. “This well-deserved acknowledgement is testament to his leadership and the enduring values that define our firm.”
Principal Greg Sabato added, “Tom’s impact extends far beyond individual transactions; he’s cultivated a culture of mentorship and innovation that has fueled our growth. This honor celebrates his remarkable career and reinforces the values that will continue to drive RRNNJ’s success as we move forward.”
Consiglio’s career, spanning 45 years, began at Coldwell Banker Commercial (CBRE), where he consistently ranked among the top brokers in the NY Region. Since then, he has completed over 600 transactions exceeding $2 billion, representing a “Who’s Who” client roster including The Children’s Place, UPS, Brookfield Properties, Morgan Stanley and many more.
“We’ve always strived to be more than just brokers; we aim to be true partners and resources for our clients,” said Consiglio, who also engineered RRNNJ’s expansion into New York State in the early 2000s, establishing the firm as a leading broker in Rockland and Orange counties. “We’ve built RRNNJ on the foundation of genuine connections and lasting partnerships. It is about the people and not just properties.”
Consiglio’s leadership extends beyond transactions. He has cultivated a collaborative firm culture that has earned RRNNJ numerous accolades. These include being named a leader in real estate last year and as a Best Place to Work in real estate and Best of Giving Back company in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
His commitment to excellence is further demonstrated by his SIOR designation, allowing RRNNJ to leverage a global network of commercial real estate specialists. In 2024, Consiglio laid the groundwork for RRNNJ’s future by appointing three long-time brokers – Peck, Wilson and Sabato – as principals, ensuring the firm’s continued growth.
